Now for my particualr swap I used the heater core box from a civic SI and the heater valve cable is a bit too long. Heres the old climate controll switch wire. We are going to need to tap a wire into this blue/yellow wire to the one previously mentioned in order for the rear defroster to work. The other wires you can just leave alone. - Heres the old defroster switch wire. Now it took me a while of pulling on the heater core box and eventually breaking it to discover that there is a nut in the firewall holding it in place. Done make the same mistake I did. It not hard to pull out after this nut is removed.
