Now the tricky one is in the back up top. you will almost have to lay down on the floor and reach up there to get this one. Theres only one more bolt holding the dash in and that up under where the steering rack was. after you take this out the dash will only be holding on by wiring. Remove them and youll be able to take it out. Now under the dash we have some work to do. Here you can see the heater hoses where they connect to the heater core. These things are a pain in the ass to remove and usually have to be cut free. The one on the right is easily replaceable with a piece of h - Now under the hood we have some work to do. Here you can see where the heater hoses connect to the heater core. The left one between the valve and the core is pretty tightly bent 2 times. You should try to find a replacement as they only run about $10. You should drain the coolant from the car before removing these hoses. Also unclip the cable and remove it from the post on the valve. - SANY0851.jpg
Coolant will still leak for a little while after you take of those hoses so in the mean time start taking off all the nuts and bolts that hold the heater components in place. Now if you have AC then you are going to need to remove the AC lines. Take the battery out and you will see them. only 2 10mm bolts. For anyone environmentally friendly have your ac system uncharged before removing them. If you dont care just crack the 2 - Now if you have AC then you are going to need to remove the AC lines. Now it took me a while of pulling on the heater core box and eventually breaking it to discover that there is a nut in the firewall holding it in place. Done make the same mistake I did. It not hard to pull out after this nut is removed.
