Just made a simple guide so use to mark 3/4" section in the center of the cylinder hole.

I used a straight die grinder and straight carbide bit, as you can kind of see I was not able to get the aluminum part of the block notched as well. I used some various other grinding bits to finish it off (non-carbide).
