Check out my hood lock install, I did the same thing in the same location as my hood lock install on the old front end.

Using the old grease on the hood pin trick I marked the underside of the hood and drilled a hole slightly larger than the diameter of the hood pin. I used the grease method with the pin extended further to mark the bottom of the surface of the hood.

using a very small diameter drill bit i drill through the hood surface from the bottom. Then I tape off the area that will be beneath the hood latch.

Using the template supplied by Aerocatch, I marked where I needed to cut the hood. because of the lenght of the latches and the position i chose to install them at, I had to angle them to give them a flat enough mounting surface.

Using a dremmel and a cutoff wheel I cut out the hole. It just so happens that using this method I dont have to cut any of the underlaying skeleton on the carbon fiber hood. I was pretty happy about that because it doesnt weaken the hood skeleton any more

Aerocatch supplies you with hardware but inorder to tighten them I would need access to the nut. Because i didnt want to cut anymore than necessary I will use rivits. Here Im gluing 4mm stainless steel backing washers to the under side of the hood.

a little bit is all we need. Too much and itll seep out causing it to stick to your finger better than the under side of the hood.

Here ive se the latch back in place and slowly worked the rivets into the holes. Listen closely to make sure none of the washers fall off the bottom side of the hood.

Here ive already tightened 2 of the rivets. tighten them all to the point of them being snug before snapping them. This is also to make sure the washers remain intact for the remaining rivets.

As you can see the only hole in the skeleton is the one needed for the pin itself.
