First the safety precautions. Im doing all the work myself and I dont want to be trapped under a car waiting for someone to retrieve my corpse.

First we remove this bolt at the top of the fork connected to the shock.

Then we remove the bottom bolt/nut so we can remove the fork entirely.

Unstake and remove the axle nuts.

This is a picture from above the brake caliper, remove the 2 bolts that hold it on and hang the caliper off to the side.

This picture isnt good but in the big shadow on the left (this is on the front of the drivers side shock tower) we need to remove the bolts that hold the upper A arm on.

Again a bad picture but this is on the back side of the same shock tower.

Here is the A arm removed.

Heres a picture of the afore mentioned bolts on the passenger side. This is the rear one.

Remove the battery so that you can take the bolt out.

And to get the front one out we need to remove the intake airbox.

See how the bolt in the middle of the picture is just kind of sitting in there? You will see why in a little bit. This is the reason for the swap.

Pull the axle from the spindle.

Hang it aside with some safety wire.

Remove the 2 bolts that attach the power steering lines to the subframe.

We need to remove the entire mid pipe so we start at the front.

Then the back.

One of the rear bolts snapped. drill and "not so easy out" the bolt.

Next is shift linkage. If you need a detaild instruction on removing this then look in the swap section under my 2000 HX.

We need to remove the outer 3 subframe bolts dont worry theres still 2 bolts on each side holding the subframe on.

Heres the 3 mentioned bolts removed.

Under the dash we need to take of the universal steering joint. Pull off the shroud and remove the bolts. Pictures of shroud removal in the power steering/swaybar swap section.
