Now close the hood slowly and make sure the pins on the locks are lined up with the slots in the shafts. close the hood and test the locks. Adjust the shafts/bumpstops as needed to make the hood flush with the fenders. They should be pretty close already. As long as everything lines up all thats left is tightening down the retaining nuts on both locks and youre finished. If you follow these steps and use the same tools that I did you should be done with both sides within an hour. Now thread the shaft all the way back through the bumpstop and thread the bumpstop all the way down. On the bottom thread one of the supplied nuts, then add a large washer, and then tighten the other nut to the shaft. Now for the most frustrating part of the install. You need to thread the retaining nut onto the body of the lock. Try not to drop the nut into the hood as its a real pain in the ass to get out. Now a uni bit is expensive but will make the rest of the job really easy. This puppy cost me nearly $40. If you decide to get one make sure you get one that goes up to 3/4 inch.
